INKS

Post by kelbz »

Hoping someone could help me with the problem that is driving me nuts! :x I am currently printing on neroprene fabric and are having some difficulties with the ink drying. Before passing the print through the curing oven the ink and image looks fine. Once it has passed through the oven some parts ( usually the edges and in bold print) appear to have holes and cracks. Not all coloured inks have this problem though mainly white. I have used ink straight out of tub, tried reducer and stretch to combat the problem, amount of pulls, and oven temp but all prove to solve nothing. Worst part is not every print does this, just say anywhere from 1 in 10 to 9 out of 10 in the samb job (ie same ink, same screen etc). Also i have some problems with certain coloured inks puffing up..any advice???
