Cleaning spray adhesive

Post by danielOZ »

I got some spray adhesive on my screen and its not coming off. It is Micador spray adhesive. Ive tried hot soapy water, a spray and wipe cleaning product and even methylated spirits. Any help would be great and yes I know I need to be more careful with it in the future.

What in the world was that stuff doing anywhere near a screen? Maybe try some xylene, laquer thinner or mineral spirit. I'm thinking the xylene will be your best bet.

Kids...got it. I have been known to grab the wrong can off my work cart and spraytac my screen instead of using non stop 90. That'll stop you in your tracks for a few minutes!

word of advice throw that stuff in the trash. I have been using Pallet pro its a glue that you apply to the boards not a spray. Everyone i talk to like to use the glue because they say it is fastest. Yea it maybe faster but the glue last longer, dont make a mess, and is healthly. I have a buddy of mine that cant clean the line on his machine because the spray adhesive he was using got all the lint stuck to it. The glue takes sometime to learn how to apply and not be fightint to get the shirts off.

TS-305 (I get it from Nazdar) takes almost any sticky stuff
.... I can give you my opinion but I can't tell you if it's right or not.

dont use spray adhesive, if you want to save time and do stuff right get a wagner paint spray gun and buy the glue adhesive, fill up the wagner half glue and half water, spray it on all boards and heat them... you wont have to re spray for a half a day and u wont breath in all that nonsense
